(Abbreviated) History: During the Era of Eternal Storms, when the mighty Thunder Emperor Lei Potian ruled the Seven Storm Kingdoms with his Divine Lightning Bloodline, he planted his legendary Storm-Caller Staff in the peak of Mount Heavenly Fury. For three thousand years, this staff absorbed the essence of every lightning bolt that struck the mountain, slowly transforming into a massive jade root system that extended through the entire peak. The root drew power from the perpetual thunderstorms that raged above, growing stronger with each passing century.

When the Thunder Emperor finally ascended to the Immortal Realm, he left behind this magnificent root as a test for future lightning cultivators. The Storm-Walker Clan has maintained guardianship over Mount Heavenly Fury ever since, allowing only those with pure lightning affinity to approach the root. Legend speaks of cultivators who have successfully harvested small portions of the root, their lightning techniques becoming so powerful they could split the very heavens with a single gesture.
